Police managed to identify the man who shot at the residence of the king of Saudi Arabia

The assailant was a 28-year-old citizen of the country.

The Ministry of internal Affairs of Saudi Arabia confirmed the information about the attack on the Palace of king Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud in Jeddah.

Also reported details of the incident, which occurred on October 7, around 15.15 local time. To the Western gate of the Palace came a man on a Hyundai and opened fire. In response, the Palace guards opened fire on defeat. In the result, the shooter was killed, but killed two security guards, three more people were injured.

The identity of the shooter established is a citizen of Saudi Arabia, 28-year-old Mansour al-Amri.

The attacker found a Kalashnikov rifle and three “Molotov cocktails”.

Earlier it was reported that in connection with the attack on the residence of king Salman bin Abdul-Aziz al Saud Embassy of the United States and other countries in Saudi Arabia has warned its citizens residing in the country to be careful and avoid staying near the Palace of the king.
