American men’s magazine Playboy will no longer come out in print. The intention to abandon the issue in the US, said the head of Playboy Enterprises, Ben Kon (Ben Kohn) in his blog on Medium platform.
According to the head of the company, the latest issue will be released in the spring of 2020. From 2019, the journal was published quarterly. Kon explained that the rejection of the printed version was discussed between the employees long enough, but the decision was accelerated because of the crisis in connection with the spread of the coronavirus.
“We get to publish all of our content primarily in digital form”, he added. The businessman said that in 2021 the company plans to return to the printed format, but “in various new forms.”
