A leak of toxic ammonia at the ice arena town of Fernie in the canadian province of British Columbia has killed three people.
Rescuers also evacuated the residents of five neighboring to the stadium streets. The details of the incident still remain unknown. Experts still can not penetrate inside the premises.
“Our emergency services primetyvajut effort to get inside. We plan to go through the back door, as it is the safest. That’s the opposite side of a very high level of pollution. People will be able to return to their homes only after all chemicals will be eliminated,” – said the Director of the fire station, Ted Reuther.
The names of the dead while also not reported, however, most likely it is the workers who repaired the cooling system of the stadium.

Ammonia is often used in mechanical cooling systems such as those that serve ice stadiums. In these systems, it is in a liquid state, however, instantly turns into a poisonous gas in case of contact with oxygen.
