Spanish star center Pau Gasol in the match with Hungary broke the record of Tony Parker’s points at the Championships.
Before the Eurobasket-2017 Gasol in the ranking of the best snipers in the continental tournament ranked third, trailing by eight points from Dirk Nowitzki and 60 from Tony Parker.
The leader of the Spanish team took four incomplete match to surpass Parker and become the most productive player in the history of the European Championships (1105 points).
In the match with Croatia Gasol scored 11 points in the match with the Czechs added another 26, with Montenegro scored 10 points in the first half Hungary scored 16 points.
For 37-year-old Gasol the current European championship is the seventh in his career. The post “San Antonio” became three-time European champion (2009, 2011 and 2015), twice came from behind in the finals (2003 and 2007) and once won the bronze medal (2001).
The Spanish veteran is a two-time MVP of the Eurobasket and three-time best scorer of the tournament.
Only in the international arena, Pau Gasol played 14 tournaments, averaging per game at 20.6 points and 8.0 rebounds.
