The NBU said about the design and features of the coin.

The national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has put into circulation a commemorative coin dedicated to Ukrainian actor, Director, playwright, teacher, one of the founders of the Ukrainian domestic theatre Panas Saksagansky (Tobilevich). The coin continues the series “Outstanding personalities of Ukraine”.

The coin value is two hryvnia. In treatment she went from 14 may 2019.

The obverse features a favorite chair St., on which rests the hat on the left, mirror the outline of the actor with the mask in hand, to the right – a stage curtain.

The reverse of the coin describes the expression of the actor: “Everyone wants to seem what it is. I know it’s good, but because of the portrait I draw will never … to Worry and of bitter and sweet, to see both light and darkness, life and not to paint all with their own mood, not anyone”. In the center of the reverse is a mirrored outline of the actor, in his hand he holds a mask with the face, which symbolizes his talent of disguise.

“During his creative life Panas Saksagansky has created a gallery of scenic images comedic and dramatic repertoire, which have become classic examples of acting techniques and mastery of disguise… He played almost a hundred roles, each of which – the top acting. Panas Saksagansky known not only as an actor but also as a talented Director, began a system of prior work on the role,” – said the press service of the NBU.
