Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas threatened to stop cooperating with Israel on security issues, if Jerusalem will not stop expanding its settlements. This statement Abbas made his speech before the French senators during his visit to Paris.
“If the colonization continues, I will not have other exit, and this will not be my fault,” Abbas said.
At a meeting with French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday, February 7, Abbas said he considers legalization of Israel’s 4 million homes on Palestinian land in the West Bank as an “attack against our people”.
“Our goal is peace, but Israel is in the interests of their state,” added Abbas.
