In the paintings of the prominent Peruvian artist Daniel Hernandez, Morillo (Morillo Daniel Hernаndez) comes to life a string of charming female images dressed in outfits that are inherent to the fashion of the late XIX-early XX centuries. In his works, he perfectly recreated the harmony of colors, lines and shapes and glorified the beauty incarnated in a woman.
Daniel was born in 1856 in Peru. He studied painting from Leonardo Barbieri, and, having in 1875 a scholarship from the Peruvian government, went to Europe. For ten years he studied classical art in Italy, after which he moved to Paris, where he was recognized not only by critics but also by the local elite. Drawing inspiration from the contemplation of the local beauties and traditions, he created a series of works dedicated to the beautiful ladies showing off their soul in a portrait or image.
