Optical illusion, able to trick the brain. Photo

There are many optical illusions, but the illusions presented here are special.

All these illusions at different times participated in the competition for the best illusion of the year, and were the most interesting.

Below you will find some very interesting optical illusions that can trick your brain.

10. Colored bubbles

In this optical illusion you can see the colors that are actually there on the screen. Colored target replaced the usual colorless circles (bubbles). Despite the fact that the bubbles are colorless, they seem painted when a long time you will look at the picture, especially when viewed in its Central part.

Most interesting is that for every bubble you see painted in a specific color. Its color depends on the bubble size. Each bubble is colored in the color of the part of the target which coincides in size with the bubble.

9. Here’s another similar illusion: coloring pictures

Look in the center of the picture at the black dot for 20 seconds. You will see how simple drawings are colored in pale red and blue. These illusory colours are referred to as “residual image”. Interestingly, the color in which painted figures are changing.

8. The grid is able to restore its integrity

On the picture you can see the mesh that the edges are a bit “broken”. If you look at the picture for about 20 seconds, you will see absolutely the whole grid, without any defects. This illusion demonstrates the brain’s preference to see the usual, familiar to us schemes and patterns.

7. Control panels

Two identical rectangle become lighter and darker at the same time, but in some cases it seems that one becomes lighter, at a time when the other becomes darker.

It’s all in the gaps, between a blinking rectangle and two other rectangles that are on the left and right sides of each of the flashing rectangles.

Here’s how it looks (watch for the flashing parts, looking in the center of the image):

6. Dynamic brightness gradient

To observe the effect, is to sit at a comfortable distance from the pattern, and begin to approach the monitor toward the center of the image. You will notice that the closer you approach the picture on the monitor, the greater part of it is lighted.

Here are a few examples of this illusion:

5. A day when the rain fell on Lowry (The Day it Rained on Lowry)

This painting by British artist Lowry “Return to work”. On it we see the industrial district, and shapes that seems to be moving, but going nowhere. In fact, the movement of people in the picture is an illusion.

It should be noted that the movement of the crowd is most clearly seen to those people, who used often to walk in the crowd.

It should be noted that within the illusion you think people go, as the picture was added as another version of her, darkened, in which the figures are slightly off. When both pictures appear alternately, creates the illusion that the people are moving.

4. Autokinetic illusion

In the world of optical illusions, the terms “autokinetic illusion” or “illusory movement” are used to describe the motion in the picture, in which everything is static, and the viewer knows it. This new version autokinetic illusion in which the subject in the picture is not just moving, but expanding. This illusion is created by parallel spaced pointed (needle-shaped) lines.

3. The snow outside blinds

This illusion is very simple, and thus able to impress anyone. The impression that the speed of falling snowflakes increases when blinds are lightly covered. It is necessary to remove the blinds, and the snowflakes fall slower.

2. Illusion panels (Coffer Illusion) – how many circles do you see?

From the first glance you either will not see any circles or you’ll see only 4. Basically you will be visible only rectangular patterns resembling wood door (panel).

However, in this picture the 16 circles. It is worth noting that this illusion is a variation of paintings, the Sarkon Gianni (Gianni Sarcone), who is known for his work in the pop art style (abstract art based on the optical effect).

1. Movement the power of thought

In what direction is movement in the picture? Up or down? Or maybe left or is it right? In fact, the movement happens only in your head.

In the very beginning there is 5 pictures, which move up and down, but then the rest of the images appear in random order, but you will continue to see the movement.

To make sure that the movement you have in mind, just look at the pictures and think “right-to-left right-to-left”, then you can think “up and down, up and down,” and the picture will move as you want.

Here are a few illusions that can blow up the brain

Crazy circle

It seems like the areas inside the circle are moving in a circle. In fact, each sphere moves in a straight line (the diameter of the circle).

This is just one example of how a more detailed scrutiny of something can reveal a hidden image.

Beautiful star, which gradually moves the picture is actually static. In this picture nothing is moving, all movement occurs in your head.

The illusion of a big monster

This popular illusion can be found in many textbooks on psychology. Two monsters seem to be different sizes, but they’re both absolutely identical in all respects. Your brain automatically corrects images that he perceives as distant. Thereby it compensates for the fact that the image is bigger than it should be.
