The company introduced a station wagon called Sports Tourer.
The company Opel presented the Insignia of universal new — generation Sports Tourer. The public debut of the model will be held in March this year at the motor show in Geneva.
Overall length of the universal compared with the predecessor increased by 73 millimeters — millimeters to 4986. The wheelbase has increased by 92 mm, and the maximum length of cargo that will fit in the “Insignia” now may exceed two meters.
The boot capacity of the new model is 520 litres. If the rear seats are folded, the amount of free space in the compartment will increase to 1638 litres — 110 litres more than the previous generation. Seats fold in the ratio 40:20:40, and the tailgate is equipped with electric drive.
As presented earlier hatchback, station wagon built on a new platform, which made the car almost 200 pounds lighter.
Information about the power plants yet, but universal will probably get the same engines as the hatchback. This means that the model will be offered with petrol engines from 1.5 to 2.0 liters and 1.6 – 2.0 litre diesels.
Also the “Insignia” will be available all-wheel drive system, adaptive suspension, optional led matrix headlights, a circular video review, a new multimedia system and all-round visibility.
