Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Onishchenko claims that plans to get Germany work visa, not citizenship.
He said this to Ukrainian Pravda, commenting on the German media resource DW.
“The journalist is confusing work visa to citizenship,” – said the MP.
According to him, he planned to apply for the visa on 6 November.
Onishchenko said that no documents, except the registration of residence in Germany, he to the Council of the village Herzlake not filed.
He explained that he wants to get a visa to have the right to conduct business.
“I live there since 1992. In Germany, I engaged in sports and business. Preparing horses for competition. Breed, train and sell (horses). I only asked the Governor Herzlake to help me if necessary. He wrote me a letter of recommendation”, – Onishchenko said.
Earlier, the mayor of the village Herzlake Hans Becken said that Onishchenko filed documents, required for obtaining German citizenship.
People’s Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko suspected of the organization of schemes of embezzlement of funds in the extraction and sale of natural gas within the contract on joint activity with Ukrgazvydobuvannya state company, which the state suffered damage amounting to about three billion hryvnia.
Onishchenko had to leave Ukraine before the Verkhovna Rada of July 5, 2016 stripped him of parliamentary immunity and consented to his prosecution.
