The American astronaut from Ukraine flag
American NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik deployed on the international space station two flags – American and Ukrainian. During a teleconference with Kiev Bresnik told about the origin of the flag.
Link American astronaut with Kiev was held in early November. The moderator of the meeting was US Ambassador in Ukraine, Mila Jovanovic. Studio guests asked their questions Randy Bresnik. In particular, Ukrainian public asked how the American astronaut of Ukrainian flag and why he brought it with him to the international space station. “This flag I have from last year, I got it in the river when there was with my family. There my son was born. And so we went back there as a family, spent a few days in Novomoskovsk, and then another few days in Kiev. Here there I flag. I took it with me. I plan to bring back,” said Bresnik.
In addition, the astronaut said what he misses most when he is in open space. “I miss the smells, the changing temperatures and weather conditions, different food that I love. But most of all, of course, I miss chatting with people, especially those whom I love,” shared American astronaut.
Everyone who attended the teleconference, Randy Bresnik wanted to find the science that will be to inspire them and to which they will have passion. “Those who later became astronauts – loved what they were doing. We all want to learn something new, we learn new things every day. No matter in which field – Geology, mathematics, or natural science. You just need to love what you do,” said Bresnik and added that free of the solar Eclipse time, he’s taking pictures of our beautiful planet.
