Two fighters of the RAF were up in the air on alert due to the two Russian military aircraft over the coast of Scotland.
It is reported that the incident occurred on the morning of 20 September and was “another episode in the confrontation with the forces of Putin over the North sea”.
The publication writes that the two jet Typhoon flew from the base Lossiemouth to meet the Russian aircraft, which subsequently changed the trajectory, therefore, direct interception did not happen.
According to the representative of the Royal air force, the British fighters were up in the sky on alert when it was discovered that “the area of British interest” close two Russian military aircraft.
The Russian aircraft, he explained, turned around and flew away as a result of “the interception was not carried out.” It is noted that this is not the first case when British Royal air force escorted Russian bombers in the airspace of the UK.
