The last monument to Lenin in Odessa region, which was in the village Cuba, was beheaded. This was announced by the former head of the Odessa cell of Sergey Sternenko on Facebook.
This and the monument to Kalinin, the village Council was restored in the budget, which caused a scandal.
“In the Odessa region, far to the South, the last comrade Lenin was left without a head. And not only he, and not only without a head;)”, – wrote to Sternenko.
In the comments to his post, users of social networks said that in Cuba the village Council not only refused to dismantle monuments to Lenin and Kalinin according to the law on de-communization, but also of the budget allocated 50 thousand UAH for the restoration.
This was the reason for the appeal of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory to the Prosecutor General, interior Ministry, security service and State audit service.
