The leaders of the three largest (after Rosneft), the Russian oil companies — LUKOIL, “Surgutneftegaz” and “Gazprom oil” — sent Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev a letter with a request for fair tax breaks for flooded fields.
About it October 17, according to RBC. Vagit Alekperov (LUKOIL), Vladimir Bogdanov (Surgutneftegaz) and Alexander Dyukov (“Gazprom Neft”) claim that their companies are “tax discrimination.” They remind that “Rosneft”, headed by Igor Sechin, received a reduced mineral extraction tax for Samotlor field 35 billion annually for 10 years. In return, the company promised to increase production, however the details of the agreement were not disclosed. Other oil companies such benefits is not received.
Oilmen believe that because of this “discrimination” affected the use of resource potential of West Siberia, where their flooded fields.
