Novosibirsk Deputy demanded direct payments for the starving inhabitants

The Deputy of the Novosibirsk city Council Alexander Burmistrov said that coronavirus crisis has had a devastating impact on vulnerable populations.

According to him, the people massively complain that they can not afford to buy even food, and any financial assistance from the state is not visible.

“Previously, there were issues associated with landscaping, children’s playgrounds, driveways and so on. Now people just have nothing there,” he said in an interview with local youtube channel, “Warrior of light”.

Burmistrov has expressed confidence that to solve the problem can only direct payments to the population, although this is not popular in the ruling circles.

“Stay at home” from Novosibirsk will have at least until may 12 — and all Russians. However, people can’t just “endure” the loss of income and opportunities to earn a livelihood, he stated.
