On February 2 of next year’s planned Russian premiere of mystical horror film “Muse” from acclaimed genre master Jaume Balaguero (“Report”, “Fragile”, “sleep”). This project came to our attention back in July, and then we said a word about the fact that it is based on a novel by Spanish writer josé Carlos Somoza “La dama número trece”. Now it became known that the book is worth the wait.
The publishing group “Azbuka-Atticus” release “Lady number 13” in the series “Great American novel”. The official abstract reads as follows:
Words, words, words… Weightless denote objects, feelings, phenomena; words are the ordinary, poor, exalted, deceitful, woven into lines and stanzas assessment and seductive… They have incredible strength and can be dangerous, even deadly.
Wonderful Spanish writer josé Carlos Somoza, winner of many literary awards, in the exciting novel, grim and inspiring at the same time, offers to take in the element of poetry, run by the mistress of the words and dreams of the mysterious lady. The role of the twelve of them were identified, but there is a mysterious thirteenth…
Maybe she is to blame for many strange and terrible things that the witnesses and unwitting participants of which the teacher of literature Salomon Rulfo and Raquel, a call girl?
Somoza (previously released to us as Somoza), the domestic reader is known for the novels “Zigzag”, “the Athenian murders” and “Clara and shadow”. In the original “the Lady in room 13” was released in 2003 and only now get to Russian bookstores. And, surprisingly, not called “the Muse” and no mention at all of adaptation on the cover.
“The lady number 13” should go on sale in the coming days.
