9 remote areas, reachable only on foot.

Despite the fact that most of the world already enmeshed in a network of paved roads is still a handful of intact wilderness areas, where there are no beaten tracks, and accessible only on foot or by bike.

These epic landscapes is available only for those who want to go to a secluded area of nature, a journey you will remember for a long time.

There are nine remote locations, accessible only by his endurance and adventurous spirit.

Narrows — Utah, USA
One of the most legendary canyons of the Narrows in Zion National Park. All day hike (which can be extended to two days – it should grab the necessary equipment for camping) is the only way to see the incredible gorge.

Mont Saint Michel — Normandy, France
Located on a rocky hill, which is surrounded by rapid tides of the English channel, Mont-Saint-Michel stands alone in the midst of the ever changing sandbanks. A Benedictine Abbey was built in Gothic style on land, but for many years the sea levels rose, severing it from the mainland. Now the only way to reach the island is to walk or ride my bike along the sandy Causeway, which opens during low tide.

Barn Bluff — Tasmania, Australia
People often forget in favor of its famous neighbor — Cradle mountain, the summit of Barn bluff (or “Barney” as it is affectionately known) is the fourth highest mountain in Tasmania. Offering an epic multi-day hike to the top, strewn with boulders, is visible from most areas of the Cradle mountain lake National Park, St. Clair, and it can be reached only via land routes.

Hornstrandir — Westfjords, Iceland
There are no roads, no hotels and no permanent residents in the remote district Hornstrandir, which is located in the North-West of the thumb of Iceland. Beautiful scenery here adorn the peaks covered with snow most of the year. The last remaining in the Iceland area inhospitable terrain where Hiking is world class.

Motuo — Tibet, China
The only County in China, which is completely inaccessible to roads (highway was built in 1993 in the shortest possible time to be absorbed by the surrounding jungle), Motuo is located on the southern slope of the Himalayas and inhabited by tribes of menba and Luoba. According to Tibetan Buddhist Scriptures “BKA diatomaceous earth”, Motuo (which means “hidden Lotus”) is considered in Tibet, the purest and holiest region and the only means of access there is a pedestrian trail through a 200-meter suspension cable bridge.

Supai — AZ, USA
A tiny town in Arizona, Supai is the perfect place to settle if you are interested in wildlife. To get to the city is the task at least not easy to do, since the city is located on the bottom of the Grand Canyon. This is the only place in America where mail is still delivered by mule.

Preikestolen — Norway
Known as “Pulpit rock,” a steep cliff Preikestolen is located at an altitude of 1981 metres above the Lysefjord. One of the most visited natural attractions in Norway are located in an impressive Ryfylke region, where abound the tranquil types of forested valleys and dramatic fjords.

Laguna Verde — Bolivia
Bright azure lakes lie within the crater of a volcano and surrounded by, a stratovolcano in Northern Chile, which shares a border with Bolivia. The lake is easily reached in about eight hours walk from San Pedro de Atacama in Chile or making a day trip of the Salar de Uyuni, the famous salt flat in Bolivia.

Taktsang Paro — Bhutan
The most sacred place in Bhutan and the birthplace of Buddhism in the country, Taktsang-lhakhang is located on the side of a cliff above the Paro valley.
