Nissan introduced the second generation of the Leaf EV

The car received a new design and a more powerful powerplant.

Nissan revealed the second generation of the Nissan Leaf electric car during the event in Tokyo. Also, the manufacturer announced specs and a release date.

The exterior of the car became more squat and expressive. The novelty has received the thin LED headlights and modified rear lights.

Part size is known that the car has increased from 4445 mm to 4480 mm in length, 1770 mm to 1790 mm in width. Its height is five millimeters has decreased in comparison with the predecessor.

The electric car is equipped with engine capacity of 150 HP and torque of 320 Nm. The battery capacity of the new model is 40 kWh.

One of the most significant innovation of the vehicle system driving assistance ProPILOT, which is an adaptive cruise control of the new generation, which works together with a withholding system in the lane on the track.

In Europe, sale car needs to go in January of this year.
