Niagara was like a castle of the Snow Queen. Photo

Due to severe frost (up to -20) the most famous waterfall in North America partially froze

In the last week of December in the Eastern United States are anomalous 20-degree frosts. Usually in December in these places the temperature does not fall below minus two degrees Celsius. However, this time global warming was marked by a deep drop of the mercury column.

In the result, Niagara falls has come to resemble the illustration to a children’s winter Wonderland: drops and mist, settling on the shore, forming intricate patterns and complex designs of ice “stalactites” and “stalagmites”.

Many tourists flocked to Niagara falls from both sides (canadian and American) to capture an unprecedented spectacle. Long it was not delayed, but in social networks appeared dozens of photo shining and the frozen travelers in the background even more frozen waterfall.
