As a result of collision with a tree killed 51-year-old driver of the car “VAZ 2104” and his 49-year-old passenger.
A traffic accident occurred on 7th August around 7.00 on the road Nyzhankovychi – stry in the village of Haute Gai, Drohobych district.
As established previously, the law enforcement officers, the driver of the car “VAZ 2104”, 51-year-old resident of Truskavets, not choosing a safe speed and not taking into account road conditions, not lost control, drove into a ditch, then collided with a tree.
“As a result of road accident the driver of the car and his passenger, 49-year-old resident of Truskavets, died at the scene,” – said in the message.
Another passenger, 38-year-old resident of the town of Stebnyk, received injuries and was hospitalized in the trauma Department with the diagnosis: “closed cranial-a brain trauma, secano-laceration left cheek, secano-laceration left forearm.”
Upon road accident the criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 286 (violation of safety rules of traffic or operation of transport persons who are driving) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
We will remind that the sanction of this article prescribes punishment from 3 to 8 years of imprisonment, without the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to 3 years or without it.
