NBU revoked the license of another Bank

“Divi Bank” suspends part of operations.

The national Bank of Ukraine revoked banking license “Divi Bank” at his request. NBU Board decision of August 14, has withdrawn the banking and General licenses for implementation of currency operations in PJSC “Divi Bank”.

“The Bank took a decision on voluntary termination of banking activities without liquidation of a legal entity”, – said the NBU in a press release on Tuesday.

The controller resembles that of Divi, the Bank became the fifth Bank to have made the decision earlier for a similar procedure, the national Bank has revoked the licenses of CB “Financial partner”, the apex Bank, Industrial Bank and Credit Optima Bank.

The procedure for a voluntary termination of the Bank activities made possible by the adoption in March 2017 of the law “On the facilitation of the reorganization and capitalization of banks.”

Previously, banks could voluntarily stop activities only through the total elimination, creating a significant inconvenience for their owners, now shareholders can take a decision on termination of Bank activities and the maintenance of the legal entity. Such an entity can continue to operate in the market of financial services (subject to obtaining appropriate licenses) or to carry out other economic activities.

Divi the Bank in terms of assets on July 1 this year, 83 took the last place among all banks of Ukraine – 105,84 million UAH, while a month earlier their rate was 216,23 million UAH, and at the beginning of the year 358,84 million.
