For the quarter, 69 of the 90 working banks made a profit.
The national Bank has revised the performance indicators of the banking system in the first quarter of 2017, impeding the assessment of the operating profits of banks by 19.3 percent, or almost 1 billion UAH, – up to 4,102 billion hryvnia.
In April, the NBU said that the profit of the solvent bans of Ukraine in January-February increased by 18.9 percent.
This is stated on the NBU website.
It is reported that PrivatBank nationalized in the first quarter of 2017 received 1,108 billion hryvnia profits, which is 2.3 times lower than the preliminary figure at 2,512 billion, disclosed in the financial statements on the website of the Association of Ukrainian banks on may 5.
In addition, for the quarter, 69 of the 90 working banks made a profit, including the greatest profit at “Raiffeisen Bank Aval”, “PrivatBank”, “First Ukrainian international Bank”, “Ukreximbank”, “credit Agricole Bank”.
Among the 21 unprofitable for the quarter, the Bank’s largest losses were registered by “VTB Bank”, “Ukrsotsbank”, “Forward”, “Prominvestbank”, “Misto Bank”.
It is also reported that the total profit of the banking system in the first quarter amounted to 495,776 million, because five insolvent banks have to 3.606 billion UAH of losses.
