The main security threat to NATO — “the aggressive actions” of Russia and international terrorism. This is stated in the London Declaration adopted by the leaders of the countries-participants of NATO summit, held in the UK capital.
The text noted that NATO faces different threats and challenges that arise in all policy areas. The threat to the Euro-Atlantic security represent the aggressive actions of Russia, stated to the Declaration. NATO will continue to undertake measures in response to the deployment of new Russian medium-range missiles. At the same time, the text notes that the Alliance remains open for dialogue and constructive relations with Russia.
The full text of the Declaration is available on the NATO website.
The summit was also addressed by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. He stated that the summit held a “great debate” in Russia. In particular, I discussed how “to react to its actions,” added Johnson.
