NASA recorded the amazing photo of nebula Spirograph
Planetary nebula IC 418, or “Spirograph”, located at a distance of two thousand light-years from Earth in the constellation of the Hare. The picture was taken on the Hubble telescope.
As told on the website, planetary nebulae appear in the final stages of stars similar to the Sun. The star at the center of IC 418 was a red giant thousands of years ago, and then discarded his outer shell that formed the nebula. IC 418 extends 0.1 light-years.
You see that in the center of the image is located – a red giant, which was formed from the nebula. Scientists say that in a few thousand years the nebula will gradually disperse into space, and its center will cool down over billions of years, existing as a white dwarf.
