The introduction of a progressive tax for people with income of a million rubles a month will help to overcome situational poverty in Russia. This and other ways of dealing with poverty in an interview with “Izvestia” called the rector of the Higher school of Economics (HSE) Yaroslav Kuzminov.
According to him, it is also necessary to build a system of social support not only for single mothers and large families, but also for any other family with a child. “Well, first, how many of us will be that we will be able to do is a key strategic issue for the development of any country. Second, the birth of children is not so much a question of demography, many social well-being of people,” — explained Kuzmin.
He underlined that creation of comfortable conditions for the birth and upbringing of children is critical.
