Color preferences vary widely, depending on the segment.
Experts of BASF Coatings (coatings division) was named the most popular colors of cars in Europe and in Russia. According to the results of 2016, most buyers have a preference for white is 29 percent.
Last year 78 percent of the cars were painted in the colors of the classic palette: white, black, grey or silver tones. The demand for gray declined 12 percent compared to 16 percent in 2015.
The least popular are beige, green, orange, gold, purple, and yellow tones.
The company also found that color preferences vary widely, depending on the segment. Popular in Europe, compact cars correspond to General market trends: most of cars bought in the white color (26 percent), black (19 percent) and gray (19%).
For crossovers, the most popular color was gray, as for sports models. Cars luxury segment, particularly often purchased in black color.
