Today in the automotive market there is fierce competition among manufacturers. Each of them strives to optimize certain characteristics of the machine to the end user selected. This review presents the most popular brand of cars that prefer to buy people from different European countries.
1. Volkswagen Golf
Volkswagen Golf naturally is one of the best hatchbacks in the world. The car even became a household name for cars of a Golf class. Model is the most sold in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Norway, and is a consistently high place in the list of new car registrations for the year 2016 in other countries.
2. Volkswagen Polo
In Belarus, the leader of sales in 2016 was another Volkswagen model – the fifth generation of compact Polo.

In France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Portugal, Slovenia over the past year was sold to Renault Clio. The French hatchback is good in many ways, but particularly pleased with the stylish appearance, power density, controllability and stability in the turns.
4. Peugeot 208
In Denmark the most popular car for the past year has been another small “French”, the Peugeot 208.
5. Volvo S90/V90
In another Scandinavian country, Sweden, over the past year, has sold most Executive sedans Volvo S90 and the Volvo V90 wagon. The car only appeared last year, but has already become the undisputed leader.
6. Toyota Yaris
Japanese hatchback, the Toyota Yaris was the market leader in Greece, ahead of other compact cars. Volkswagen Golf, for example, was not included even in the top ten.
7. Skoda Octavia

8. Skoda Fabia
Another model of the Czech manufacturer Skoda Fabia broke in the first place in Slovakia, leaving behind Octavia and Rapid.

11. Nissan Qashqai
In Latvia also popular Asian crossovers. According to the results of sales of Nissan Qashqai is strongly ahead of the Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Octavia.
12. Fiat 500
In another country of the Baltic States, in Lithuania, the most popular car suddenly became a tiny Fiat 500. Famous Italian hatchback three times spared cars like Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Passat.
13. Fiat Panda
In Italy itself, the most popular were a different model. Fiat Panda third generation is a small city car like a Fiat 500. The machine is ideal to get through the narrow medieval streets of Italian cities.
14. Dacia Logan
Not surprising is the fact that Dacia Logan, the “people’s” car of Romania, became the best-selling model. In neighboring Moldova Logan also took first place, while the second – Dacia Dokker and Hyundai Tucson.

Other model and French-Romanian company Dacia became the leader of sales in neighboring Bulgaria. The MPV Dokker bypassed the Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Octavia and Renault Clio.h
16. Spain
Seat Ibiza and Seat Leon were the most sold cars in Spain. In third place from them, only slightly trailing, is Opel Corsa.
17. Ford Fiesta
In the UK for many years in the lists of best-selling compact cars leaders Ford, Vauxhall, Toyota. In 2016, the list was topped by Ford Fiesta. 2nd and 3rd places went to the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
18. Smart Fortwo
In Monaco, the tiny state in the South of France, you can find many expensive cars, fabulous cost of which is enormous. But the best-selling car was not a Ferrari or Rolls-Royce, and the compact Smart Fortwo. On the second place – compact crossover Porsche Macan.
19. Audi A3
In another small country, San Marino, the best-selling model was the German Audi A3.
20. Kia Sportage
Compact crossover Kia Sportage has become a leader of sales in Ukraine, leaving behind competitors: Renault Logan, Renault Duster and Skoda Octavia.
21. Hyundai Solaris
Sedans and hatchbacks locally assembled Hyundai Solaris became the most selling model in Russia. Behind by a small margin was the Lada Granta, Kia Rio and Lada Vesta.
