In January-April 2017 Ukraine, according to the State fiscal service, sent the export of 11.36 thousand tons of onions amounting to $ 1740000.
This is the lion’s share – 78% from exports for the whole of 2016, when the border was sent 14,62 thousand Tons. The total value of last year’s onion exports was $ 2830000.
Most Ukrainian onion in January-April this year Belarus bought (59,62%), UK (30.3%) and Iraq (3,46%).
For the first four months of 2017, Ukraine purchased abroad 2.4 thousand tons of onions for $ 2230000. Mostly in the Netherlands (42,85%) and China (28.6 per cent) and Egypt ( 21,9%).
