Named the best country in the world

The Fund’s experts conducted a “leading the world in research of generosity,” as they called it.

Representatives of more than one hundred countries assessed by three criteria: helping a stranger, donating money and volunteering. In the end, each state was rated the world index on the basis of which the rating of kindness and generosity.

The undisputed leader of the rating recognized by Myanmar (Burma). According to the study, 91% of people in this country in the past year allocated the money to charity, 53 % said that they helped strangers, and 51% stated that they volunteered to help various organizations. The General index of Myanmar accounted for 65%. High scores are probably the result of the Theravada Buddhism practised by a significant part of the population in Myanmar, allowing his followers to support those who live the monastic way of life.

Next in the ranking followed by Indonesia (60%), Kenya (60%), New Zealand (57%) and the USA (56%). Experts noted the generosity of the people of Australia, Canada, Ireland, UAE and Netherlands. The best countries, where often help strangers, is recognized as Sierra Leone, Iraq, Libya, Kenya and Liberia.

And the least generous of the researchers called Yemen, China, Lithuania, Georgia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Armenia and Croatia.
