Named invincible creature that will survive the end of the world

Named the most tenacious animal on Earth.

Scientists from Oxford and Harvard have named an animal that will survive all other organisms on earth in case of global catastrophes on a cosmic scale.

Researchers have shown that is known for its survivability of microscopic tardigrades will exist on Earth for at least another 10 billion years, much more than the human race and other species.

Scientists have considered three scenarios of possible disasters that can destroy life on earth in the next billions of years: the impact of a large asteroid, explosion of stars in the solar neighborhood, and gamma-flash. All of them have been, or are unlikely or measure their actions will be such that will not destroy the animalcules.

“We found that although the explosion of a star or an asteroid strike would be a disaster for humanity, tardigrades will not be affected,” explained Dr David Sloan from the University of Oxford.
