Portugal became the winner of the Grand final of the 2017 World Travel Awards, winning the prize for “Best tourist destination in the world.”
After the victory in Europe as the leading field of 30 September in St. Petersburg, Portugal joined the list of 17 nominees for the Grand finale, which took place on 10 November at Fukoka (Vietnam).
Among the nominees were such countries as Brazil, Greece, Maldives, USA, Morocco, Vietnam or Spain and others. For the first time this award was given to a European country.
