Cumin makes a save against atherosclerosis and inflammation.
American scientists from the Central technological research Institute has conducted a number of studies and found out that cumin is able to fight germs, helps to cope with high temperature, pain and has a high concentration of antioxidants.
It is no secret that forms of oxygen, known as free radicals, contribute to oxidative stress. This leads to disruption of the normal flow of series of processes, the development of atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases, inflammation in the body, cancer and premature aging. In turn, antioxidants reduce the degree of influence of oxidative stress.
During the analysis the experts identified the high content of useful phenolic compounds – antioxidants in cumin and its ability to protect against DNA damage. Also in the traditional medicine of bitter cumin is used for normalization of the gastrointestinal tract, as an expectorant, diuretic, healing and tonic.
