Russian Gazprom continues not to comply with the terms of the contract to ensure the gas pressure in the Ukrainian gas transportation system, which undermines the stable transit of gas to EU countries. About it reports a press-service of Naftogaz.
“According to PJSC Ukrtransgaz, since the beginning of the failure by Gazprom contract pressures (60-65 kgf/cm2) were recorded for 259 days (88%) on the entry point of the gas measuring station Sudzha for transit gas pipelines in the Ukrainian GTS. Currently, the pressure is only 55,8 kg/cm2 (under contract 60 kgf/cm2)”, – Goritsa in the message.
It is noted that emergency on the main gas pipelines in Russia and the inability of Gazprom to provide contractual pressure on the Russian side of the system raise concerns about reliability of supply and transit of gas from Russia this winter.
“Following the principles of openness and transparency, the company once again announced a permanent monitoring group of the European Commission of systematic violations of Gazprom’s obligations under the contract for natural gas transit through Ukraine, which jeopardizes the provision of uninterrupted transit to the EU”, – stated in the message.
In Naftogaz said that this year the volume of transit of Russian gas through Ukraine are on a nine-year high. For the first nine months of this year, through the territory of Ukraine to the EU and Moldova pretransition more than 70 billion cubic meters of Russian gas.
