Premiere of the new “twin Peaks” will take place this Sunday (in the United States, Russia show starts Monday), so all the attention is David Lynch, a man of great and diverse talents.
Lynch not only took the original “twin Peaks” and its sequel, has not only directed a number of cult films, but proved himself as an artist (in the truest sense of the word), and as a musician. It was the last incarnation of the great master, we’ll talk now. Or rather not so much talk as you hear it.
For anybody not a secret that the music in the films of Lynch plays a special role. This is largely due to the film composer Angelo Badalamenti, with whom Lynch worked on many of his projects. As recognized by the Director in one interview, Badalamenti revealed to him the true potential of music. In 1989 they couple produced the album-debut singer Julie Cruz.
Later, in the 2000s, Lynch became interested in electronic music and in 2001 released their first album “BlueBob”. In 2010 released first single, Lynch’s “Good Day Today”, in 2011 – his first solo album “Crazy Clown Time”. In the summer of 2013, the world saw the second album “The Big Dream”.
The influence of Badalamenti and own surreal style of Lynch felt, isn’t it? Although I personally prefer solo album of David, and the fruits of his collaboration with singer Christa bell: the joint album “This Train” (2011) and Somewhere in the Nowhere (2016). Vocals Krista goes well with the music of authorship Lynch – in my opinion, of course. And how do you David Lynch in the role of a composer?
