Spanish rider Marc Marquez at the Grand Prix of San Marino scored the fourth win of the season.
At the start of the race the rain Lorenzo broke from fifth place to first, but Marquez was able to move to the second position. Lorenzo confidently was in the lead until the seventh circle is not gone because of the fall.
The lead went to Petrucci – Italian had been holding back Marquez, but in the last round leader of the Honda after a prolonged assault is still broke in the first place.
Seven-time world champion Valentino Rossi did not participate in the race because of a broken leg.

Thanks to the victory in San Marino, Marc Marquez regained the lead in the fight for the championship. Having the same number of points from Andrea Dovizioso, the Spaniard ahead of the racer Ducati due to the greater number of victories.
