One day, returning home after the weekend, Kara Brookins (Cara Brookins) and her children saw that their house was almost demolished by the tornado. After that, the woman, who had behind him two failed marriages and four children, realized that I need to change something in this life. She decided to build a new house on your own.
Kara took out a Bank loan to buy materials. At the beginning of the construction of her eldest child was 17 years old and the youngest only 2 years. Adolescents turned 15 and 12 years old. To understand where to start and what to do, woman, and children watched educational videos on Youtube.
Kara remembers that she worked all day in construction, and after school helped her children. They worked in the headlights. Sometimes women and older children had cold fingers from the cold when they were mixing concrete or itching the whole body from fibreglass used for insulation.
