Experts spoke about the critical error of the Ukrainian routers.
According to authorities, over half of these systems can access the local computer networks of institutions in the private and public sectors. This position would contribute to different vulnerabilities.
“Researchers have noted that a significant portion of vulnerabilities (40%) are configuration errors in the software errors in program code (27%) and lack or do not timely security updates (20%)”, – notes the Department.
According to him, the discovered vulnerabilities to create a situation in which interference in the activities of information systems becomes possible even with a small amount of relevant knowledge and poor skills of the attacker in the field of information technology.
“77% of the analysed cases, the remote interference with information systems, illegal access was made possible … through the vulnerability of the web application resources that have become victims of attacks,” – said the police.
