“Monster”: serial killing in the middle of a grim cold Norway

American cable channel Starz has purchased the rights to broadcast crime series “Monster” (Monster), and we have the first teaser of this project.

Immediately catches the eye the splendid landscapes of Norway, deep emotion written on the faces of the actors, and very cool visual style of the television Thriller. So Yes, the video is catchy.

And here’s the synopsis:

In a dark remote area of Northern Norway is the brutal murder and found the mass graves of linking together old cases of missing persons. The case has been assigned to a special investigator Joel Dryer, arrived on the scene from the southern capital. Partner it becomes Hedda, a female officer from the local police. Different personalities, methods, and past immediately oppose them to each other. And when the investigation begins to spin out of control, both detectives resorted to questionable moves to stay in business and protect their personal secrets.

At first glance, the plot does not possess originality, but the series has managed to grab the award 2017 European Script Award for the most innovative scenario from a newbie. By the way, the idea of the show belongs to the writer Hans Christian Storrosten and Director Anna Savitski.

Starring Ingvild Holthe, Bygnes (“I travel alone”) and Jacob Oftebro (“lilyhammer”).

Starz is not yet clarified the start date of the broadcast of the series. And in Scandinavia “Monster” starts already in October.
