Moldovan President spoke sharply about the relations with NATO and Russia

He determined the course of his country’s foreign policy for the near future.

The President of Moldova Igor Dodon has strongly opposed the rapprochement of Ukraine with Europe, as it believes that NATO is using Moldova for anti-Russian confrontation.

He said that he doesn’t want to be cannon fodder for NATO in dealing with Russia.

“I am categorically against Moldova was considered even the possibility of NATO membership… If someone will try to use Moldova as cannon fodder against Russia, referring to NATO’s objectives, and we see what they want to achieve in this region, you can see what you have accomplished, unfortunately, some Western forces in the Ukraine… We have such scenarios are not necessary”, — said Igor Dodon.

He noted that he is more against Europe than against Russia.

“Anti-Russian definitely will not. Anti-Western, you know, for some positions – will. If the government of Moldova at some stage will make the decision to politically integrate into the EU – it will explode. Moldova, a country simply will not. There will be something else, some districts will attach to Romania, will some other territorial Association. We categorically can not allow,” – said the Moldovan leader.

Earlier, Igor Dodon has declared its commitment to Russia. So, he said that Moldova returned to a full-scale Russian Federation. According to him, relations between the two countries again begins the “white stripe”.
