Mousetrap free cheese will be microtransactions.
Microsoft has a complicated relationship with its own exclusive Phantom Dust. First the game wanted to devote a full remake, but then everything went to normal re-release. But the reissue will be released today and will be absolutely free.
This was announced by head of Xbox marketing Aaron Greenberg (Aaron Greenberg). Differences from the original game in 2004-th year not so much: support ratios 16:9 and resolution of up to 4K, some improvements in frame rate.
But the network part tailored program Xbox Play Anywhere. This means that the owners of PC with Windows 10 and Xbox One will be able to meet in multiplayer and transfer save from one platform to another.
Judging by the additional comments of Greenberg, mousetrap free cheese will be microtransactions. The combat system is Phantom Dust based on the card: how you will make the deck depend on the skills of your character. These same maps can be purchased.
However, the creative game Director Adam Isgreen (Adam Isgreen) in an interview with Polygon assures that the mechanics of gameplay and balance not changed anything. Therefore, you can enjoy Phantom Dust like the courtyard again 2004.
Not temporary action: reissue, according to Greenberg, will remain free forever.
Perhaps freestuff “remaster” is such a story before the new part. In 2014, Microsoft announced a “reboot” of the franchise for Xbox One, showed a trailer, but then froze the project. The Corporation, however, admitted that more could get back to him. Who knows, maybe Redmond found a good way to unfreeze the achievements of three years ago and still put them together in the next Phantom Dust?
