Merkel unexpectedly spoke about the proposal of Putin for Donbass

Merkel welcomed Putin’s proposal to deploy peacekeepers in the Donbass.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, commenting on the words of the President of the Russian Federation on the introduction of peacekeepers in the Donbass, said that the UN peacekeeping mission must have full access to all areas of Eastern Ukraine, which is under the control of fighters of “DNR” and “LNR”.

“I find Putin’s proposal to send UN troops for the protection of OSCE observers is interesting. A few days ago I discussed with him that UN troops should have access wherever you are (the observer – ed.), the OSCE, that is, to the entire territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”, – said Merkel.
