The Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev abolished the program of development of the pension system, which was developed from the beginning of 2010-ies. The corresponding decree of 6 July published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
As radio station “Echo of Moscow” with reference to “Interfax”, the reason for closing the program was disagreement over its funding.
In 2014, the Chairman of the Pension Fund of Russia Anton Drozdov has warned about the lack of limits on the implementation of the state program for development of pension system, wrote RIA “Novosti”. Then the officer said that the project would increase by 2018 pension of up to two minimum living wages (PMP), and by 2020 — not less than 2.5 PMP.
