MediaTek has shared its plans for 2018

Taiwanese chip maker MediaTek, the second largest manufacturer of mobile processors after Qualcomm, in 2018 intends to expand its presence in foreign markets and to develop new product categories, reducing the dependence on smartphones. “MediaTek is able to not only develop chips for smartphones… We have a wide range of technologies. Rick Tsai declined to comment on rumors of a possible partnership with the American Corporation, but noted that MediaTek plans to increase investments in the US, where Taiwanese chip maker underrepresented and to expand the staff in the country.
