Media: Germany has finally buried the “Nord stream-2”

The German government does not intend to withdraw gas project Nord Stream 2, in which the Russian Gazprom”, from the scope of the new EU Directive on the “blue fuel”. This was learnt by the journalists Handelsblatt.

According to their information, the application of the project operator — the company Nord Stream AG 2 will be rejected by the German Federal network Agency.

The gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” was built based on European consumers that gas had to go under the Baltic sea, instead of transiting through Ukraine. However, as it became known at the end of last year, Russia did not close the Ukrainian transit.

2 Nord Stream AG stated that if the decision is made, the operator will be challenged in the courts.
