In Istanbul on Monday, may 1, Turkish riot police detained at least 207 people during the demonstrations that turned into clashes with police.
This was reported in the press service of the Governor of Istanbul.
“All were arrested 207 people and seized about 40 Molotov cocktails, hand grenades 17, 176 fireworks and placards with anti – government appeals,” – said in a statement.
It is reported that security forces used tear gas and rubber bullets.
