Maserati suspended production of cars

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles temporarily stopped investing money in the development and release of new models of Maserati.

Maserati suspended production of vehicles due to low demand, reports Automotive News Europe citing a statement by the Union leaders of this company. Simple will last till 15 Jan 2018.

In particular, models Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte will make from 15 December to 15 January, Levante – from 20 December to 15 January, and the GranTurismo and Grancabrio – from 16 December to 8 January.

How long it will last is not known. This means that in the near future we are unlikely to see new models of this brand, but the existing model updating, apparently, still get.

So, the release of new models of this brand (Alfieri, as well as a new coupe and convertible to replace the Granturismo and Grancabrio), which was scheduled for 2018, is in jeopardy.

Federico will do, a Union representative, in an interview said that it is especially bad were sales of Maserati in China. But more recently, China has been the leader in sales of cars of this brand.
