Map ATO: militants change tactics near Avdeevka

The terrorists released to the front line snipers.

The defense Ministry described the situation in the ATO area, reporting the change of tactics of terrorists in the area of Avdeyevka.

According to the speaker of the defense Ministry ATO Alexander Motuzyanik, during the first half of the past days showed a significant reduction of tensions across the line of contact.

However already along toward evening the situation deteriorated: in some areas the enemy is actively used heavy weapons.

In Donetsk direction the enemy was shelling positions of Ukrainian troops on the demarcation line. On the arc Svetlodarsk, in the industrial area of Avdeyevka and on its flanks (the heater, the position of the mine Butovka) again, the terrorists used mortars. In each of these areas, the enemy fired a few tens of min.

In the town the militants have changed tactics: in the morning the intensity of mortar attacks decreased, at the same time come to the forefront of enemy snipers. Yesterday a powerful attack from the enemy took place in Kamenetz: it lasted almost seven hours.

In total in days in the Donetsk area had 32 enemy attack, 11 of heavy weapons.

On Lugansk the direction the firing activity of the militants, compared with yesterday rose, all violations of the regime of silence on the part of the enemy have light weapons. In the Village Lugansk and Lobacheva fired by snipers of the insurgents, also, illegal armed groups opened fire on Ukrainian military positions in Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka. Elsewhere was quiet. All, in Lugansk direction there were 10 enemy attacks.

On the Mariupol direction in the area of Novotroitsk was a powerful mortar attack by the enemy. On these borders, the terrorists used infantry fighting vehicles. In Starohnativka and southern coastal borders during the day the enemy used small arms, grenade launchers and weapons of armored personnel carriers. Actively conducted and sniper fire.

All in all, in the direction of Mariupol there were 32 enemy fire, one of them with heavy weapons.

As of 11:00, 21 February in the area of ATO there were 21 enemy attack, including two mortar.

Most of them recorded in Mariupol direction, thus, there is a definite trend to de-escalate the level of tension.

Over the past day in the fighting, two Ukrainian soldiers were injured, seven soldiers were injured in the explosion of a truck on an unknown explosive device. in the area of Lebedinsky.

In the hospital died, the SES officer had been seriously injured in the town on 2 February.
