Portal iFixit recently disassembled all the latest smartphones from Apple and Google, set to the products of the software giant. Today an autopsy was performed on laptop Microsoft Surface Book 2 submitted about four weeks ago and the results were very disappointing.
Mobile computer Book Microsoft Surface 2 officially not sold in Russia, in light of recent events very happy: with its high cost, it is absolutely impossible to repair, so that in case of its failure will have to buy another machine. Out of 10 points on a scale of maintainability iFixit laptop got exactly 1 (one) point, that is a fiasco, bill gates.
Microsoft Surface Book 2 is very difficult to autopsy, and inside it is an excessive amount of adhesive, plus the screen is integral with a protective glass, so to replace it will cost a very large sum. In addition, replacing even the most basic components would entail removing the motherboard, which, by the way, soldered processor, and RAM, which makes their replacement impossible. Recall that Microsoft Surface Book 2 is equipped with 8 or 16 GB RAM, SSD of 256 to 1024 GB and the screen is 13.5 inches with a resolution of 2000×3000 pixels.
