Salomoni Carlo (Carlo Salomoni) – Italian painter. Born 2 Dec 1956 in Ferrara, Italy. Graduated from medical faculty with a master’s degree in General surgery, but in 1992 decided to leave the medical activities and to become a professional artist.
Carlo begins with experiments with oil paint, acrylic, mixing them together and applying it on fabric, paper, clay. They were followed by experiments with other art-objects: small sculptures and decorative vases, exhibited in galleries of Ferrara and Bologna (Italy). He also made copies of paintings by famous artists working in different times and in different styles.
The main source of inspiration for Carlo is stories, poems and fiction novels. The subjects of his paintings are rooted in metaphysics and surrealism of art fantasy and works in the style of magical realism. They transport viewers into the world of dreams, filled with atmosphere, where reality and fantasy collide, melt and give rise to beauty.
Thanks to his inexhaustible creativity and imagination, the artist creates series of various masterpieces, with a guarantee of the originality in each of his artwork. He currently lives in Ferrara, Italy, with his wife Angela Teresa Lopez.
