Luxurious private island of Marlon Brando. Photo

Now the rest here rich.

In 1960 during the filming of “mutiny on the bounty” Marlon Brando came across the island of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia. Blown away by the beauty of the Polynesian lifestyle and his colleague at the filming of Caritas Teriipia, which became his third and last wife, Brando decided to buy this piece of Paradise.

In 1967 he bought the Tetiaroa Atoll near Tahiti, consisting of 12 small Polynesian Islands, lying in the stunningly beautiful and serene lagoon.

1. Renaming the island in “Brando,” the actor spent the next 50 years of his life, tenderly caring for his nature.

2.

3. But this piece of heaven was available not only for the actor and his “entourage” — it could also work with ecologists and archaeologists.

4. Brando really wanted to preserve the natural beauty of Tetiaroa, its biodiversity and cultural richness.

5. He tried to find a way to make it a centre of research and education, and a reasonable model of sustainable development.

6. He was convinced that this small Atoll could bring good to the entire planet.

7. “I always calm down when I imagine sitting at night on his island in the South seas. If I could, I would forever preserve the pristine nature of Tetiaroa as a place that reminds Tahitians of who they are and who they were a few centuries ago,” said Marlon Brando.

8. Despite the fact that the actor has built 12 huts with palm roofs along the coast of one of Islands of motu Onerahi, it was very far from what he intended.

9. Now, after the actor’s death has been more than 10 years, the island of Brando passed into the hands of Tahitian Builder. In July 2014, the island reopened as one of the best environmentally friendly resorts in the world.

10. Along the coast of the island of motu Onethe are 35 private villas, two gourmet restaurants, two bars, a luxurious Spa and an orchard. Island Brando is a truly luxurious self-contained environment which supports life principles of actor Brando.

11. Instead of building villas on the water, as do the other island resorts Polynesia, the developers decided to build a Villa away from the beach so as not to disturb the sea turtles in their natural habitat.

12. And in order to protect the reef and its inhabitants, to reach the island only by private plane to the resort.

13. How to get there: airlines around the world fly to the international airport of Papeete, Tahiti. And from there a private jet to the hotel will take you directly to Tetiaroa. The flight lasts 20 minutes.

14. Cost:

Prices for one bedroom villas on the island of Brando starts from 2400 euros per night. The maximum cost for the Villa — € 7,200 (three bedrooms). All prices include food and drinks, as well as daily Spa treatments and a variety of activities.
